Android 6.0.1 to 10.x (Legacy Launcher)¶
This method uses the legacy KRFN-launcher which is compatible with older Android versions.
Prerequisites¶
- An Android device (or BlueStacks emulator running the latest version) with OS version 6.0.1 up to 10.x.
- Note: Android 5 and Android 11+ are not supported by this launcher.
- Verified to work on Zenfone 4 (Android 7/8).
- Game Client APK (Version 3.6.0).
- If you have already updated to 3.7.0, you must completely uninstall it before proceeding.
- KRFN-launcher APK (Version 1.0.0-beta).
- Download from: KRFN-launcher Releases on GitHub
- Use at your own risk, as this is third-party software.
Setup Steps¶
- Install Applications: Download and install both the Game Client (3.6.0) and the KRFN-launcher APKs.
- If prompted, enable "Install from Unknown Sources" in your Android system settings.
- Open the Launcher: Always open the game via the KRFN-launcher app. You can safely remove the shortcut for the main game app from your home screen.
- Grant Permissions (First time only): Allow the launcher access to the device's storage. This permission is mandatory for patching.
- Configure Endpoint Settings (First time only): Open the settings screen inside the launcher, enter the custom server configuration, and tap the save icon (top right) to save settings.
Configuration Values:
- Server Hostname (Server Host) (max 20 chars): Refer to endpoints.md
- Asset Hostname (Asset Host) (max 30 chars): Refer to endpoints.md
Important
- Obtain these values from the community as guided in endpoints.md and match the characters exactly, including all symbols.
- Do not include protocols like
http://orhttps://in the input fields. - Keep these addresses confidential within the community.
- Start the Game: Tap Start Game (ゲームを起動) in the launcher. If successful, the game will boot and connect to the custom server.
Troubleshooting¶
- How does it work?: The launcher modifies the connection endpoint metadata in the game client on execution. Since files are not permanently modified, you must launch via the launcher app every time.
- Error: "USB Debugging Enabled" / "Root Detected":
- The launcher cannot bypass the client's internal security checks. If you have root or USB debugging enabled:
- For Root: Hide root using Magisk, LSPosed, and Shamiko, or disable/remove root.
- For USB Debugging: Turn off USB Debugging in Developer Options, or use Wireless Debugging instead.
- The launcher cannot bypass the client's internal security checks. If you have root or USB debugging enabled:
- Error: App fails to start or shows hints: Free up system resources by closing background apps and try again.
